Honey Garlic Grilled Shrimp with Cheesy Mashed Potatoes

Here is an easy 30 minute recipe that can be made for roughly $10.00 that the whole family will love to have for a snack or a nice afternoon lunch.  

Ingredients:

1 lb bag of Easy peel shrimp 26-30 count

6 wooden skewers

⅓ cup Honey

¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes 

½ tsp smoked paprika 

2 tsps of minced garlic 

2 Tbsp water 

chopped cilantro for garnish 

1 bag of instant mashed potato mix

⅓ cup of shredded cheddar cheese

 

Instructions:
Soak wooden skewers in water for 20-30 minutes

Thaw shrimp if frozen

Once thawed remove the shells leaving the tails on

In a medium bowl add honey, red pepper, paprika, garlic, and water and mix well 

Add shrimp to bowl and toss until shrimp are fully coated

Let shrimp marinate in the mixture for at least 30 mins

Get grill fired up and set at 400 degrees with or without Grill Grates and heat waves 

Follow directions on the package to prepare the potatoes then add shredded cheddar and let set while shrimp cooks

Add 5 shrimp to each skewer

Spray or rub grates down with oil 

Place shrimp on the grill and cook roughly 3-4 mins per side 

Remove shrimp from skewers and add to your serving of potatoes 

Garnish with cilantro and enjoy!
